Review masterplan Sonadia deep sea port – Bangladesh

With increasing cargo volumes, the need for a deep sea port in Bangladesh is becoming more urgent and therefore the Government of Bangladesh wished to revive the Sonadia Deep Sea Port project. In 2006-2009 a masterplan was developed for this greenfield port. PCR was asked to review the masterplan and draft recommendations on actions to be taken to start the project of Sonadia Deep Sea Port development.

Project manager ACT container terminal – Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Implementation of the set-up of a new stevedoring company with three partners. PCR provided the following services: business plan (inland shipping, off-shore wind farms, waste), environmental permit, shareholder agreement, operational agreements, procurement strategy, staffing, pricing, testing, etc.

Project manager temporary floating port – Pemba, Mozambique

Implementation and realisation of a temporary floating Port to service Supply Vessels who handle cargo and materials between shore base and drilling rigs.

Dredging study – Hazira Port, India

Port Consultants Rotterdam conducted a dredging study for the Port of Hazira. The port of Hazira is primarily built for LNG facilities, and later expanded with a basin for a container terminal.

Interim director logistics and operations – Luanda, Angola

Interim Director Operations and Logistics for a RoRo and containers shipping line in Luanda, Angola. Responsible for handling of container and RoRo vessels at the various terminals in the Port of Luanda and other ports of Angola.
